the plan my friends... the plan... though continuously snowballing... is to1. hand dye/paint raw silk
2. print one of my patterns on the silk
3. create garments
while simultaneously...
1. weaving large spans of "cloth" quite delicately and lace-like
2. weaving some of the silk into the piece, pulling some of the silk so it creates this whimsical, 3 dimensional effect (will attach an additional photo shortly)
3. add on top of the silk garments
the idea is you will be able to see the pattern in various spots on the garment through the webbish weaving.
